I just thought I would write this little thing down that Lauryn said to me today. Last night I went to the temple and I was telling Lauryn that she got to go to Grandma's house while I went to the Temple. She said, but I want to go to the temple too. I told her, "you can go to the temple when you are big. It is for big people." She was sad that she couldn't go. We ended up sleeping at my parents house because by the time I got back the kids were both asleep and Tyler is out of town, so we just stayed there. This morning when we were driving home Lauryn says, "hey mom, I'm big!" I said to her "yeah you are big aren't you." She looks at me and says, "I want to go to the temple because I am big". I just had to laugh. She continued to say it a few more times. I thought it was pretty cute of her to remember what I told her. Hopefully she can continue to have that desire to go to the temple throughout her life!

Late Fathers Day

Father's Day before church. Well, I never got around to doing a Father's Day post, so this is a couple days late, but Happy Father's Day Tyler!

We had a good day relaxing in the morning, going to church and having dinner at my parents house and hanging out with family.
I hope Tyler had a good day and I hope that he knows how much I love him. He is the greatest. And his kids love him so so much. He had to leave today for St. George until Thursday and all day all Lauryn says is "I want my daddy" "I want daddy to be here" "I want to hold daddy" She sure does love her daddy!! Thanks honey for all that you do.

First Haircut!

I know I know, I can't believe she is almost two and a half and has never had her hair cut!! I have thought about it a lot lately and just kept putting it off. I didn't want to cut it short, just trim the ends to make it look more healthy and thick. So this past weekend Aunt Emily cut her hair. She was very excited. She told me she wanted to get a haircut like Jordan's! I told her, then she would look like a boy, and probably Jordan't twin. She decided she didn't want to look like a boy.

It wasn't a huge change, but boy did it make a big difference in how thick and healthy her hair looks now!

Yipee!!

Well, it has been two weeks since we started the potty training endevour, and I am proud to say I think we are in the clear. Of course I know there are going to be those occasional accidents, but she has been doing so so good! So tonight so got her "surprise". A few months ago I found this cute baby set with a stroller, high chair, swing, play pen, bouncer. It was so cute and in GREAT condition and I got it all for $10! I was planning on saving it for christmas, but then this came along and I thought it was perfect for her "surprise". She loved it! And I must say Jordan did also! Lauryn always takes his stroller, so he kept saying that now she has her own stroller and won't have to argue with him about his. We got home and they both went down and played babies with the new stuff. They really are such good friends and I hope it stays that way forever.

All Aboard the POTTY Train!! Choo Choo...

Well, we finally did it, we hopped on board the "potty train"!! I decided last week when we had those really rainy days and you couldn't go outside that I would work on potty training Lauryn. I have known that she is smart enough to do it and could do it, I just haven't wanted to deal with the committment it is and the time it takes and the messes there are to clean up, but I finally did it. We started last Wednesday and I must say she has been doing pretty good!! Of course there have been those occasional accidents, but that's to be expected. And I am proud to say that today she went ALL DAY WITH NO ACCIDENTS!!! I was so excited. I hope this good streak continues and we will have no more diapers! hooray!

I was going to take a picture of her sitting on the potty, but I never remember, so I figured I would just post her little sticker charts. One more day to fill up to make a week. If she fills up a full day with stickers, she gets two stickers for the big train chart. I figure in one more week when she fills that up she will be a pro! Wish me luck that she keeps up the good work.

Look what I did!

One day Lauryn was coloring with some markers and she discovered that the lids fit very nicely on her fingertips. She thought this was so cool and she worked very hard to make sure she had one on every finger! I loved this little sequence of events leading up to the proud face....

Kade's School Program

Well, school's out and summer has begun for Kade. Last week he had his 4th grade school program. It was fun to watch him sing his songs and dance the virginia reel. I can't believe he is going to be in the 5th grade! Man, time flies so fast. As you can see he is still one of the littlest kids! One day he'll hit his growth spurt. Sorry about the quality of the pictures, I think our camera is dying or something, the pictures are horrible lately, but it will have to do until we can afford a new one.

Here's Kade getting ready to dance, awesome looking cowboy huh! Good job Kade.

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ...........

I think my little energizer bunny is starting to wear out! She has been falling asleep in some pretty random places lately. Maybe I should start to "force" her to take a nap, since she usually doesn't get one.
This first picture she just curled up with her blankie on the floor.
This next picture, she was watching a movie, and went over to her toy basket, got all her blankets piled in there, and climbed in, well, I thought she was just playing around, because she likes to climb in it, but after a few minutes I walked over and sure enough, she was out like a light.
And then today, Tyler was out in our back yard with my dad's tractor trying to finish smoothing out all our dirt back there and Lauryn wanted to ride with him. I went out a little later, and she was dead asleep. Man, what would it be like to just fall asleep to a noisy big tractor roaring in you ear! Needless to say, I think maybe she is wearing herself out and may need to start taking a nap here and there, we will see.

Naughty Naughty

The other day I was in blow drying my hair and I thought both kids were downstairs until I heard some noises. I went to check what was going on and as I got to the hallway I could see that the light was on in the bathroom, and the door was locked. I could hear water running, so I quietly unlocked the door to catch Lauryn in whatever she might be doing. As I opened the door, this is what I found...Lauryn had taken her toothpaste and smeared it in the sink, on the counter, on the mirror, in her hair, on her clothes! I guess I can be grateful she kept it in the bathroom where it is easier to clean up. I just gave her "the look" and what does she do, she gives me "the look" right back as you can see in the above photo.
I guess it's a good thing she's cute and we love her so much!!
Naughty girl!

Happy Birthday Tyler!! (Only two days late) :)

So Wednesday was Tyler's 31st Birthday!! This week came and went so fast that I didn't have time to get a birthday post up until now. I felt kind of bad on his birthday, because it wasn't really a great, extra special day for him. He had to work as usual and got home around 5:45. We went down to my mom's house. I had made him one of his favorite meals, candied chicken, so we thought we'd share with my mom and dad. I had a volleyball tournament in Orem that night, so I had to leave just after six. I told him to enjoy his dinner and that there was some cake and ice cream for him. By the time I got home (after being the underdogs and coming back to taking 2nd place) Tyler had a softball game at 9:30, so my dad came up and sat here while the kids were sleeping until I got home. So needless to say, Tyler and I didn't really even see each other on his birthday. I do hope he had a good day though.

I just wanted to tell Tyler how much I love him! He is such an amazing man and I don't tell him nearly enough how much he means to me. He is SUCH a hard worker. I admire this in him. He is an EXCELLANT people person and can make friends very easily. He is such a great dad to our kids. They love him so much and can't wait each day until he gets home from work to see him. Thank you Tyler for all you do for our family and hope you had a great birthday! I love you~

Yes, this really is Tyler!! Back in the day when it was "cool" to have your hair bleached! Isn't he a cutie!

I love this picture of Tyler and Kade. This was on our wedding day. What a great dad he is.

Tyler loves the outdoors, nature, and our beautiful surroundings!

These were a few pictures from our wedding reception. I love this man!

Nothing better than a horsey ride from dad!

How sweet is that!

Goblin Valley!!

Friday night we headed down to price to my Aunt Brenda's house. We got up Saturday and headed down to Goblin Valley for a fun filled day. My cousins Emily and Nick came down, and Matthew,Kristen, and Dallan came too. We had so much fun. The kids absolutely loved playing and climbing on all the rock formations! It was my first time ever going there, so that was pretty cool. The kids were pretty worn out by the time we were done. Jordan and Lauryn were asleep in the car within 5 minutes or less. We headed back to Brenda's house and got some dinner and then decided to head over to Helper and go bowling, the kids thought that was great too! I wish more of the family could have come down and enjoyed the fun with us, but hopefully we will plan another trip down there soon. Thanks Aunt Brenda for letting us crash at your house!

Enjoy the slide show, there's lots of pictures!!
