We had a really fun day on the 24th. We got up and went up the the park at 8:00 and had breakfast, then sat and watched the parade. Then we just went down to my parents house and let the kids play. We got the slip and slide out and Scott and Em brought this rocket thing that hooked to the hose and shot up in the air that the kids just thought we awesome. We went home and got the kids bathed and waited until the fireworks started and watched those and then went to bed.

This was the rocket thing and Lauryn LOVED it. She kept chasing the rocket and putting it back on , even though it was a little windy and overcast, she didn't care, she absolutely loves the water. Scott was having a fun time too turning it on and off and watching it spray her in the face and stuff.
It made a good drinking fountain too.
Poor Poor Brent and Holly's kids. Last Saturday night Ben was riding the bike down at my mom's and fell off into the ditch and had to get stitches on his forehead, then on Tuesday Leah hit her lip on the cement and got a fat lip, and then a little later she got pushed over by all the boys running around and fell and hit her forehead and got a big goose egg and bruise on her head, she looked like she had been beaten. Holly was home sick and Brent was out of town, so we had to tell Holly that we really weren't beating her kids. She was a tough little thing though.

Oh, poor little Leah. If she survives Ben it will be a miracle. It's a good thing she's tough.
