Bubble Machine

After much request, here are the instructions for the bubble machine...

Items needed: Dish soap, water bottle, straw, rubber band, cloth, paper/plastic cup

I haven't tried a plastic cup, but I'm sure it would work the same, the paper cup just seemed to get really soggy after awhile.

First, you will punch a hole in the cup with a hole puncher for the straw to fit in, make sure the straw will fit snugly so air doesn't get out.

Then, the cloth that they used was an old fashioned dish towel, she said you can get them at any grocery store, but it is not the cheese cloth. Or she said it should also work with an old T-shirt also. Cut cloth or t-shirt into a square and cover the top of the cup, put the rubber band around to hold it on.

Then, put the straw in the hole.

Spray the cloth with the water bottle, then put a small amount of dish soap on and spread it around with your finger so it covers the cloth.

You DON'T need a lot of soap, the key to this is the water. Once you have the soap on, spray it again with the water.

BLOW, and see if it works, if it doesn't work, you probably need more water. After blowing bubbles for awhile, it will not work as well, and all you need to do is keep spraying it with the water and it should continue to work. We occasionally needed to add a little bit of soap after awhile.

Hope everyone tries this out and has a fun time. Kids absolutely love it and it was so easy!

Enjoy!!
